During a public talk the speaker used the Bible and our hands as an illustration of how important the 5 meetings are.
His illustration went like this...
Let's say each finger in our hand represents one of the 5 meetings. We all know where the strength comes from in making the meetings. So on a Tuesday or Thursday you decide to miss the Congregation Bible Study...release the strength or grip of one finger from the hold on your life line, the Bible.
Sunday comes along and you decide to make the public talk but opt out of the Watch Tower study. Now release the gripping strength of another finger from your life line, God's Word the Bible.
We see that by now we are in a precarious situation. We are minus the strength of two major life lines and are getting weaker by the minute. What is going to happen very soon is you are going to be so weak from only having 3 of the 5 life lines that your everlasting life depends on and there is a very good possibility you will just let all 5 go and become lost on a side street of one of Satan's little seductive atractions. You have the hard work of coming back to the strength of the 5 life lines.
All five meetings are very important. We can see where the dangers are in not taking the meetings as a serious part of our life.
